Final Series Proposal

Tentative Series Name:
Borderline Cities
State Idea:
For this series I want to focus on familiar places where I grew up going or seeing in the borderline cities of where I live.
How will you execute idea?
I plan to focus on environmental/landscape photography using natural lighting. I imagine the series with wide and medium length photos to fit more content.
Why is this topic important to you? What do you want other people to understand? What do you hope this series will accomplish?
I want to focus on this issue because I personally find it interesting to be able to step into another city by just crossing the street. It is important to me because it has been a struggle to explain which city I am from without having to go in depth so I hope this series will allow the photos of the locations be easily recognized. It also shows the places I grew up with and has it’s significant to the separate cities.
Any special conditions, equipment, or techniques needed?
I don’t plan on using any special equipment or techniques as it will be pretty straightforward.
Output Method and Size:
For the series I plan on using traditional prints sized 8×12 or 11×17.

Portrait Research

For self portrait, I want to do shadows of myself in different locations. I plan to go to places where it has significance to me or an interesting place. For example, the gates of my middle school or somewhere at cpp.

For environmental, I plan to take pictures at a tennis court. I pictured a person sitting on the court after a game. It is not going to be a close up photo.

For simple, I plan to do headshots of someone in front of a colored background. I think I might use lens filters or gels if it is shot in the studio.

For creative, I want to do something with rainbow on the face. I might do close up shots but I still need to figure out how I will be able to make the rainbow for the photos.
