Tentative Series Name:
Stop and Smell the Roses
I want to do a series of shot that are close up shots of flowers, fruits, leaves, and other interesting plants.
How will you execute idea?
I plan on doing landscape images, close up shots with a shallow depth of field to highlight the object I want to focus on. I plan to use mostly natural sunlight and focus on color and texture and interesting viewpoints with dynamic angles
Why is this topic important to you? What do you want other people to understand? What do you
hope this series will accomplish?
My art style is usually surreal and exaggerated. As an artist, I’ve always wanted my art to use real life elements to create a surrealist feeling that takes you to a new place or see something differently. I want to experiment this kind of creativity with my art. I also would love to use some of these images as references for other art pieces and I enjoy drawing flowers and fruit.
Any special conditions, equipment, or techniques needed?
I will most likely only use natural lighting, but I may use a small water bottle of spay the image to get a moister on it which would be an interesting element for both lighting and texture.
Output Method and Size:
I plan on having rather large images made in photo quality to exaggerate the surrealist element
